Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"The food here is delicious - I highly recommend the fried prawns with pepper and garlic. The service was excellent, and I appreciated that there was no surcharge for card payments. While the atmosphere is fairly simple, their success is clear, as this is already their second location."
"This is totally a tourist place famous in Chinese social media, with Chinese reviews printed on the wall and staff being able to speak simple Chinese during order taking. Food was tasty and in reasonable portions. Suitable for big and small group gatherings. Food arrived very shortly after ordering. I did not have any problem regarding charging since I did not order any fresh seafood. Cash and alipay payments are accepted."
"Excelent restaurant, fresh seafood cooked to perfection, A lot of choices for a good price Fast and fiendly service, good portions, was there for 3 nights, and every dinner was good,"
"were seated promply. food was okay - nothing extraordinary. don‘t try the pad kra pao or fried rice if you are a pad kra pao/fried rice lover. We were left rather disappointed as we‘ve had better fried rice or pad kra pao. the food was just a bit bland, lacking the depth of flavours these dishes usually have. the spring rolls & the deep fried squid with garlic were better in taste. would eat here again but if i had to pick I would try to find a different place with bit more depth in their dishes. price wise absolutely okay, nothing to complain about. all in all a decent restaurant unless you are on the hunt for rich flavour"
"I had an absolutely delightful meal at Song Pee Nong 2 in Patong! This restaurant is a true gem for anyone craving authentic Thai cuisine and fresh seafood in Phuket. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere — casual yet vibrant, perfect for lunch or dinner with friends and family. The menu offers a fantastic selection of seafood and Thai classics, all cooked with bold, well-balanced flavors. The seafood here really stands out — fresh, generous portions and beautifully prepared. Many dishes like grilled lobster, curry crab, and tom yum soup were rich and flavorful, making each bite memorable. What I loved most was the value for money. Portions are hearty and reasonably priced considering the high quality. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the option to choose seafood straight from the tanks makes the experience even more fun and personal. The only small downside was that the place can get busy during peak hours, so food might take a little longer at dinner time — but it’s totally worth the wait! Overall, Song Pee Nong 2 delivers outstanding Thai and seafood dishes in a great setting — I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Patong!"
"On the last day, we had some time to kill before our flight. Time to explore Patong area again. Actually the last 2 days was meant to explore other areas than Patong but it was raining constantly like literally everyday so I had to cancel most of the itinerary. The family didn't feel like walking so they just stayed in Jungceylon while I took the opportunity to explore - streets and corners that I had never gone before. Being the lone guy, I was constantly being targeted by the countless massage centres Anyway Song Pee Nong had 2 outlets - I just walked to the nearest one. A viral restaurant featured in Little Red Book or 小红书, a popular Chinese platform.. it was swarmed by many Chinese tourists when I arrived and the people just continued walking in as I left. ◾Deep fried mantis shrimp with garlic (ask for market price) - couldn't order too much because I was alone so 4 pieces of fairly big and fresh mantis shrimp were enough to make me satiated. ◾Tom Yum Kung 160 baht had power and spicy kick to it. I was sweating profusely as I drank the tasty soup. This concluded my Phuket trip. Next time I will not go in September."
"Hi. The food was really good. We had grilled oysters, shrimp, mussels and papaya salad. Definitely fresh. Thank you Boss"
"We had dinner at Song Pee Nong 2 restaurant for two days. The price is reasonable and food is very yummy. I would always come back to this place when I'm here. Love this place. You won't regret it at all."
